I hope you are also having a better day!...often strong feelings sneak up on us at night when the distractions of the day settled. Are you able to talk with anyone during these moments when you are feeling lost?

Warmly,
Kellie Montgomery, LMFT

I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. And I know you do the same things too, So we're really not that different, me and you.” -Colin Raye

If you dont have anyone that wil listen or anyone you feel comfortable talking to you might want to try seeing a therapist or going to a therapy group near you..often there are many. ANother thing you can do is to give yourself calming, soothing statements that help you to feel heard...start by acknowledging what you are feeling (avoid going into shame) and let yourself know its okay to feel that way. Tell yourself things that you would like to hear from someone else, often times these are messages from childhood that we are missing:

"I love you"
"I want you"
"I see you and hear you"
"I'll take care of you"
"You can trust your inner voice"

These messages my not feel very true or real at the time, but over time if you can notice when these strong feelings come up see if you can give yourself a kind message, the kind of message that you need to hear at that moment- it helps to hear whether it comes from someone else or your self.

Warmly,
Kellie Montgomery< LMFT

You can talk to me anytime, I lost my son a year ago and feel lost still, there is nothing as hard as seeing your child slip away from you and not being able to help them.
